Hello and Welcome :-) Thank you for choosing eWreckers to buy and sell your unwanted machines and their parts.  We hope your experience here is a productive and enjoyable one. eWreckers has been an almost 20 months long journey from conception to complete!    A lot of that time was invested in planning and designing.  Our aim is to provide a site that is easy to use and extremely intuitive to the user. eWreckers offers Free listings and No time limit because we truly believe that recycling of old cars and machines is essential to ensuring a healthier planet.   We want to encourage you to sell parts from your old cars, machines, power tools, farm machinery or garden machinery - even home appliances! Here at eWreckers we give you another option to try before throwing away your broken down machines or favourite appliances.   At the same time eWreckers gives someone else with the same machine (but doesn't want it)  the option to sell it for parts instead of throwing it away, thus helping to recycle old cars and machines. We want to wish you a fun and prosperous experience with eWreckers The eWreckers Team   eWreckers is going global Every year millions of cars, machines, appliances and other equipment are being discarded; either because they are being upgraded or because finding parts for them is too time consuming and therefore buying a new one seems like an easier choice. The trouble is, due to the lack of options available for recycling, people find it hard to do the right thing by recycling their old cars, machines or whatever else they are trying to get rid of. There are also a lot of cases where a favorite machine has to be thrown out as sourcing parts for it is too hard because it might be too old or made obsolete by the manufacturer. This is where a portal like eWreckers™ may become useful. Consider the following scenario... John has a compressor which he really likes, it's a good old machine that served John for many years. One day the Compressor stopped working due to it's old age and John needed a certain part for it in order to fix it. John can go to the manufacturer of the Compressor and try to get the part that he needs from them, however, because the Compressor is old, the company that manufactured it doesn't stock the part he needs as the demand for those parts may not be big enough for the company to manufacture them, or they may have the part but the cost of buying it from the manufacturer may be too high. Jim has the exact same Compressor as John's but doesn't want to fix it. Jim can take the good working parts from his machine and list them here on the eWreckers™ site. John can search for a part for his Compressor here and find the part for it that Jim has listed. By doing that, Jim will be recycling a percentage of his old Compressor and John will be able to fix his favorite Compressor. So now only a percentage of Jim's Compressor will get thrown away instead of two whole compressors [Jim's and John's] Now imagine the above scenario with your favorite home or kitchen appliance, garden machinery or vehicle and anything else you can think of that you might need parts for. By having this kind of exchange, a significant amount of scrap metal will get recycled, but also a very significant amount of money will be saved or made from not having to buy a new machine or a new part. John saved by keeping his favorite Compressor, Jim made money from his old Compressor and now we have two very happy individuals and a grinning planet Did you know? If we look at the 20 yr period between 2001-2020 there will be an estimated 1.54 billion new vehicles driving onto the world's roads!! The amount of materials these vehicles will consume is a staggering 1.99 billion tonnes and all of these materials will need to be recycled in subsequent years. Even though the automotive company is 100 years old they are only just now developing ways in which to deal with the recycling of vehicle consumables. Considering there will be 1.6 billion tonnes of recyclable material in the above mentioned 20 yr period the pressure is on to develop appropriate legislation on a world wide scale to cope with this pressing global problem. In the meantime, while we wait for the Automotive Industry to find the way to deal with the millions of tonnes of scrap material they have produced, we can help to pave the way right here right now.
